funk embassy office & studios
Estonian Funk Embassy is a full-service music house working with both contemporary artists and archival music from the 1970s and 1980s.
Located in the Telliskivi Creative City, the interior architectural concept for the studio and office spaces is rooted in reuse as a spatial strategy. The design is built around existing and found furniture and materials, which have been repurposed and given new functions and contexts. Following circular design principles, the project was continuously re-evaluated and adapted according to the availability of materials and elements at any given time, resulting in a layered and evolving spatial environment.
Here, reuse operates both as a practical methodology and as a narrative layer, creating a dialogue between materials, objects, the musical archive, cultural memory, and contemporary creative practice. The spaces are acoustically optimized for recording, mixing, and events, functioning as a hybrid between a studio, workspace, and cultural platform.
